We would also like to thank our parents for supporting us and helping us achieve our musical goals. Without their firm support at home and their encouragement for us to continue music, the band could not be possible. Also, we appreciate all the time they put into driving us to performances, loading and unloading equipment, and many other things. We know it's a lot of work, but you've always pulled through for us. Thanks!

We would especially like to thank Mr. Cieremans, David's dad, for putting hours of work into our music videos. Without him, we wouldn't have our professional music videos, and we really appreciate it. Thank you!

And, last but not least, we thank the real dogs (by that we mean the furry kind). Where would we be without them? Nameless, that's for sure!

We hope you enjoy your visit to our site!!

We would also like to thank Nate Brown, David's guitar teacher, who has helped us out with some of our music and put together this version of My Funny Valentine. Without his help, we never could have pulled it off. Thanks, Nate!

Mr. Nathan Eklund is the band's current director. Without his help, we could not have continued performing for as long as we have, and we would not have been able to progress further in our studies of music, especially jazz. He has also put hours and hours of work into teaching us and arranging music for us. It's a contribution that none of us would be able to match. Thanks, Nathan!

On Monday, February 18th, 2008, The Dogz performed at Cecil's Jazz Club in West Orange. We were the warm-up band for Mike Lee's big band,  of which he is a member. When we started the second set, we threw in an extra song that we had learned without his help. The song, My Funny Valentine, is a jazz standard that Nathan really likes, although he told us that he did not like the words. We rewrote the words so that they were thanking him for being a great instructor and taking over for Mr. Glynn.

We would like to thank Shawn Baltazor and Roxy Coss, who have helped us with lessons and with arranging music. They put lots of time and effort into helping us, and we thank them for it. Thanks, Shawn and Roxy!

In addition, we would like to thank Shawn, Roxy, Nate, Nathan and Kellen Harrison for their outstanding work on our annual band camp. They dedicate hours and hours of their time towards helping us become better musicians, and the camp turns out extremely well every year. They also work with us individually: Shawn on drums, Roxy on saxophone, Nate on guitar, Nathan on trumpet, and Kellen on bass. Without their focus and determination, the camp would not be possible. Thanks, Shawn, Roxy, Nate, Nathan and Kellen!

I'm not sure who would want to teach a bunch of crazy 6th graders music for two hours a week, but someone had to, and that someone was Mr. Pat Glynn, the band's first director. At first, the idea that we could form a band and ever be good enough to perform seemed out of reach, but with his patience and his help we worked it out. Without him, we wouldn't have made it past a couple of rehearsals, let alone over 6 years of performances! Although he is no longer our director, we still remember his important contribution to our band. Thanks, Mr. Glynn!

The Dogz would like to thank some of the people who made our band possible. So many have put work into keeping us going for over 6 years, and they deserve recognition. Thanks, everyone!
